Very nice holiday home, relaxing stay Very nice and friendly host. The Holiday Rental was clean. It was nicely furnished and yet comfortable. We were able to switch off from everyday life there. This was our first holiday apartment with two terraces. When it got too hot and sunny on one terrace, the other terrace was nice and shady and cooler. There is forest and even a spring with cold water on the property. We would love to come back. There were also games in the lounge. Great house, that's why we liked everything.

Everything was great and we will come back. We really enjoyed it. Small, spacious half-timbered house with everything you could want. It is very centrally located so that excursions in any direction can be planned. It is very quietly located. Shopping facilities are nearby. The motorway is easily accessible. The source is simply superbly designed. There was nothing we didn't like.

We had a very relaxing two weeks here – close to nature, with peace and quiet, and enough space for 5 people. We went hiking, visited outdoor swimming pools, explored beautiful nearby places, and also went to the Borderland Museum (very interesting for us 'Berliners'!). It was a wonderful time for us! A super nice, clean and very well equipped house. It is quietly located on the edge of a very pretty village, right by the forest. In the surrounding area you can hike, visit caves and there are outdoor pools to cool off. Ideal with children. Communication with Diana is very nice and helpful.

Size of the property was great with own water spring, great table tennis, nice timbered house with beautiful rooms good furnishings in the house, there was nothing missing, friendly landlady, 2 terraces, barbecue, nice location for excursions telescope which reached the Brocken mountain.

Nice accommodation, friendly hosts Very warm welcome. Well-maintained house with a yard. A relaxing sun corner and a covered seating area – a great combination. The kitchen has everything you really need, even a freezer. (A microwave isn’t really necessary.)

We felt very comfortable in the house. The communication with the host was excellent. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. Very good amenities — everything you need was available. The 9 days flew by way too quickly. We went hiking, visited the beautiful BUGA in Erfurt, Bad Frankenhausen, and the Hainich National Park. There wasn’t as much time left for the lovely forest house as it ‘deserved.’ That’s why we will definitely come back! We felt very, very comfortable here, nothing was missing. We spent a lovely weekend here with six people – from Leipzig, Gernrode in the Harz Mountains and from Niederorschel – in sunny weather. The house was charming and very comfortable. We enjoyed the countryside with long walks. A beautiful landscape where you can really relax. And we enjoyed some culture with a concert in Heiligenstadt – in the rose garden. The half-timbered house is lovingly restored and located in a quiet small village in northern Thuringia. Absolutely recommended if you need a break and want to enjoy a bit of nature and peace. The nearest forest starts right behind the house. The apartment was clean and everything worked perfectly. Despite the old building style, it was easy to heat in winter (we stayed over New Year's). Recommended for all thinkers, book lovers, and nature enthusiasts (also for families).

The house on the edge of the forest is truly beautifully located and super cozy. We (two families, each with a small child) spent New Year's there and had a very comfortable start to the new year. Everything was exactly as expected, and we were warmly welcomed by Diana. The house offers everything you need, and Diana even provided a second crib upon request. Whenever we had a question, Diana took care of it very quickly. We will definitely come back—hopefully at a time of year that allows for small hikes in the area. We certainly felt very comfortable.

Small, charming farmhouse with all comforts I booked the house as a last-minute solution, just one day before arrival. I liked it immediately. A small, very, very beautiful farmhouse. The landlady warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour. Nothing was missing in terms of amenities — large, fully equipped kitchen, large modern TV with internet connection, Wi-Fi in the house, etc. The beds were big and had good, firm mattresses. The little village is nice and a good starting point for hikes. The nearest shopping option (Edeka) is in the neighbouring village, about 2-3 km away. I can highly recommend the Forest Guest House and would book it again on my next visit to the area.

We had a very pleasant stay in this charming cottage. It is truly the most beautiful half-timbered cottage in the village. The cottage was perfectly located on the way to our skiing holiday destination (Oberwiessentahl). Diana even helped us with a few tips for walks in the area. This cottage is highly recommended!
